For me
Founder of Fascia Academy - fascia.bg
For more than 10 years, I have been taking care of my body, emotions and mind through somatic and fascial practices. As early as 20 years old, a lot of pain appeared in my body and pushed me to look for self-healing methods. I am not a medical professional or a therapist, but rather have a daily desk job as an engineering manager for IT teams.
I combine Western and Eastern methods of self-healing and development.
For years I practised, studied, searched.
Western fascial science arrived two years ago, and suddenly everything I was feeling in my body was explained.
Qigong and modern anatomy were saying the same thing in different words.
During the same period, I had pain in my right foot for years. When walking. When standing. Constantly. Massages helped temporarily, but the pain would return. When I started doing fascial manoeuvres seriously, after 4–6 weeks the pain disappeared completely.
Later, I learned it was called plantar fasciitis. I also understood why it had happened psychosomatically – my body held onto an unwillingness to go in the direction I was pushing myself to go.
The body knew before I realised.
Since then I have been working with people on the same principle. I combine a scientific understanding of fascia with the deep bodily presence gained from years of qigong. The method is a synthesis of the approaches of Master Milena Maat, Oleg Cherne, Laoshe Valeri Ivanov and Human Garage.
In one year, nearly 1,000 people have attended my events. Even experienced physiotherapists find new perspectives in my approach.
The body knows the way. We simply remove the obstacles.
